Bobcats, Tyson Rolling

Tyson Chandler turned in his second best scoring performance on Saturday, and the Charlotte Bobcats picked up their first road win of the season, storming to an impressive 92-76 victory over the Washington Wizards.
No. 6, looking increasingly like his old self, dropped in 12 points to go with six rebounds (two offensive), a block and a steal. People are taking notice.

Wrote David Arnott of Rufus on Fire under "the Good" in his report on the game:
Tyson Chandler contributed some scoring to go with his usual solid defense and rebounding. 12 points on 4-6 shooting, including a twelve foot jumper.
Commentators on the same blog, like Ourdaywillcome, offered additional acknowledgement:
Congratulations to Tyson Chandler for one HELL of a night. He kept the fouls down and his production steady earning his reputation as a strong defender by holding some of the best the Wizards put on the court to next to nothing. A steller performance without a single negative. Way to go!
No. 6 continued to be a defensive force, deterring the Wizards in the lane, and after the game, Charlotte coach Larry Brown explained that it's the progress at the defensive end that has been the key to recent success.
It all started with the Bobcats' defense, which entered the game allowing a league-leading average of 88.7 points per game.
"We defended against a team that can score about as well as we can," Bobcats coach Larry Brown said. "Character guys usually will defend. You're going to have bad nights offensively, but if you defend, you're going to be in a lot of games. We've been defending all year. We've turned the ball over a lot and we've shot poorly, but I think, generally speaking, we've tried to defend every night and that's a key."
