No. 6, Bobcats Drop Two

It was a frustrating weekend for Tyson Chandler and the Charlotte Bobcats.
No. 6 and Co. were defeated by the San Antonio Spurs on Friday nights, and then dropped an overtime contest to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday.

Ty played extremely well in a 98-97 road loss to Dallas, scoring 11 points to go with six rebounds (four offensive) and a block. It was his defense on the Mavericks' All-Star, Dirk Nowitzki, that was perhaps the most notable aspect of Tyson's game.
As reported by the Charlotte Observer:
[Bobcats coach Larry] Brown had talked for weeks about testing whether Tyson Chandler could effectively guard power forwards, and he took the chance Saturday, having Chandler cover Nowitzki for about five minutes.
Chandler has been prone to fouls this season, but he never committed one during that second-quarter stint. And his length appeared to disrupt Nowitzki's jump shot until Nowitzki eventually was charged with a technical foul with 6 minutes, 20 seconds left in the half. By then, the Bobcats had pulled ahead 39-30.
In addition, Tyson managed to log 36 minutes with only a single foul, a testament to his ever-increasing comfort with being back on the floor and healthy.
SPURRED
A night earlier, Tyson and the Bobcats were handed a decisive defeat by the Spurs, falling 104-85. No. 6 finished with four points, two rebounds and a steal in just under 22 minutes.
